I’m so excited to share this wedding! I delivered the wedding pics eons ago, but with creating a new website and blog, I haven’t been able to share this beauty- boo! Rina and Osamu…. wow, this wedding was packed with amazing details. Rina is a designer and Osamu is an architect, and they created one stunner of a wedding with their combined talents.
Rina’s mother gave a toast, prodding Rina and Osamu to remember to continue to give with their time, talent and treasure. Rina designed a custom logo/ monogram for the wedding and designed the paper products. Amazing! I told her she should design for weddings. Classy and elegant.
Rina got ready in her Arlington apartment, and I was worried. Arlington apartments can have low ceilings and little light. Rina, she’s got me! As a lover of design, her apartment was light filled and south-facing. In addition to the amazing light, the apartment was decorate with beautiful art from her home county of the Philippines.
Osamu finished getting ready with his groomsmen at Holy Trinity. Personally, I wanted to get married at this church, but opted for a Capitol Hill church because the priest on the Hill was able to conduct the mass in Spanish. This Georgetown chapel, however… Be still my heart!
Osamu gifted his groomsmen hand-stamped tie tacks. So classy!
When I first met Rina, she was a very laid back bride…. with fabric swatches. Now let me tell you, if you pull out fabric swatches at our meeting? Swoon! Designers are my favorite! Here is a sample of Rina’s color pallet and custom logo/ monogram.
To top this wedding off, not only was every detail amazing, Rina and Osamu are so in love, so tender, so kind, and so stinking beautiful!
The party was awesome as well, and totally in-keeping with the couple’s personality. Rina and Osamu aren’t big dancers, but they LOVE to mingle and eat amazing food. Example: seven words for you: hot pecan pie and cold ice cream. Okay, stop drooling.
The bridesmaids came from all over the world and picked out their own dresses in a navy color– how chic are these dresses! The groomsmen sported navy J. Crew suits. Spot on chic.
Rina and Osamu, thank you SO MUCH for allowing me to be part of your amazing day and to be present to capture a little piece of your beautiful love story.
