When I think about New Year’s weddings, Mandarin Oriental Hotel wedding photos top that list! Tassy and Papysco’s black tie Mandarin Oriental Hotel wedding photos are the perfect example of what New Year’s wedding photos should be! Sparkly, full of smiles, and elegant to the 2016th power.
Tassy and Papysco were married in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel‘s courtyard this summer, but with black ties, Badgley Mischka sequin bridesmaid dresses, and blingy accessories, I’m dreaming of their wedding today!
Tassy got ready in one of the elegant Mandarin Hotel wedding suites– those suites with a dining room, living room, balcony overlooking the Potomac River, office, and elegant bedroom. All with the iconic round windows the Mandarin is known for.
Tassy and her bridesmaids sparkled on their big day. The Badgley Mischka dresses, a favorite of mine, helped set the festive mood on the wedding day.
Tassy wore these be-jewled Badgley Mischa wedding shoes. For many brides, Badgleys are are must on their big day, and Tassy’s? … well, these were gorg!
The ceremony featured jeweled-toned flowers, which were the perfect pop of color. I loved that Tassy wore her beautiful veil down for the whole ceremony. I was able to catch her expressions even through the veil, and being veiling helped build anticipation at the end. Papysco had to lift the veil, see clearly just how amazingly beautiful Tassy was, and kiss her as his wife for the first time… all in 10 seconds– wow! That’s a lot to take in!
After the ceremony, we took a few photos overlooking the Potomac River– the view from the Mandarin Oriental Hotel is outstanding! And these two? Spot on black-tie elegance.
Then, Tassy and Papysco’s party ate and danced the night away in style! The Mandarin Oriental Hotel ballrooms are large and elegant! I absolutely love the large, ornate mirrors which populate the walls over refined wallpaper! The setting is perfect and Mandarin Oriental Hotel wedding photos are pretty magical!
Henna is an integral part of Tassy and Papysco’s wedding cultures, and I love how they not only incorporated henna on themselves, but they also incorporated henna on the bejeweled wedding cake. Stunning!
As dinner and toasts drew to a close, Tassy and her bridesmaids did a quick costume change into second dresses of their own choosing. I think this is so smart! I absolutely LOVE the rose gold Badgley Mischka dresses, but I also know sequins can be hard on your skin after a night of busting your moves. My favorite New Years Eve sequin dress takes layers of skin off my inner elbows every time I wear it. The outfit change allowed the women to be chic and comfortable. Even Tassy changed into a second dress!
