Shooting Georgetown engagement photos are some of my absolute favorite! I went to school at George Washington University, and walked the Canal and street on Georgetown on the sweetest dates! I absolutely love the tucked-away nature of the Canal, Olivia’s Macaroons, and one of my favorite coffee shops Malmaison (you can see an engagement session where we stopped at Malmaison here). Luckily, Phoebe and Martin have the some love of the elegance of Georgetown, and their Georgetown engagement photos turned out stellar!
Phoebe and Martin met at a Halloween party where they were carving pumpkins with friends. Phoebe and Martin innocently smiled at one another, after selecting the same stencil for their individual pumpkins. Phoebe shyly returned to her friends, however, unsure of whether or not Martin was single.
Martin was single and Phoebe definitely caught his eye. It wasn’t long before these two stopped dancing around each other and finally started dating.
This pair is fun, adventurous and so-so tender. As a photographer, these attributes make it so easy to photograph these two! Add to it, Phoebe is a stunner with a killer sense of fashion! See that tulle skirt? Those shoes? Martin, I may have to borrow Phoebe as my personal stylist for a week or two:) … don’t worry, we’ll bring you macaroons!
We started taking Martin Phoebe’s Georgetown engagement photos along the C&O Canal, wound our way though some of the side streets, and then ended the evening just before sunset on some of Georgetown’s cobblestone streets and the Georgetown waterfront.
My evening shooting Georgetown engagement photos with these two was nothing less than magical! And Phoebe and Martin? Well, they totally rocked it like professional models. I feel so lucky to not just shoot their engagement session, but also their wedding in the beautiful gardens of Antrim 1844 later this year. Stunning venue, and with these two love bird rock stars?!? It’s going to be amazing!
